Esteban Desigual lands in the psytrance galaxy with a clear intention: to shake things up.
After years of shaking walls on the techno scene, he takes a sharp turn — no signal — straight into the psy.
His goal is clear: to bring psytrance into spaces that still keep it at the door. Esteban has been championing the genre across clubs in Europe, North Africa, and Canada — and on major mainstream festival stages like Dour, Eurockéennes, and Marvellous Island, as well as a full-throttle psytrance Boiler Room set.
In December 2024, he performs a 100% psytrance All Night Long at Paris’s iconic Rex Club — a first for the venue.
Now a resident at Badaboum in Paris, he curates Trancemutations, a series of events spotlighting the most forward-thinking producers at the intersection of psytrance, bass music, and deep techno. One guiding principle: break down the borders.
On April 30, he releases *Funk it until you make it* via ADN Music — an EP fusing psytrance and funk into a groovy detour that bridges multiple scenes.
Next step: launching his own label, Trancemutations.
The debut release drops this fall — a 100% psyfunk compilation spanning continents, from wild Finnish suomisaundi to sunny Brazilian grooves, via the French underground.
Featured artists include: Cosmic Energy, Tulsy, Thalamus, Hypnotic Peafowl, L3AF, Microchief, Pavel Svimba, Psynamik, Kyril & Eskobar — and Esteban himself, on several collabs.
2025 is shaping up to be the year of all hybridisations.
Esteban is lining up cross-genre collaborations with DJ Beluga (electro/break), Felix Gomez (progressive psy), Thalamus (psyfunk)… and more to come.
